The scientists have weighed in and the data is pretty scary. If humans are going to continue living on planet Earth, humans are going to have to take much, much better care of planet Earth. A cabin that overlooks an icy river and mountain range

Working with Danish interior brand Vipp and entrepreneur Tom Bjarte Norland, Norwegian architect Snohetta created four cabins that harmonize so well with the natural world around them. It’s difficult to tell where the outdoors ends and the indoors begins.

Two cabins hidden in the mountains

You’ll find the cabins along the west coast in Norway, a beautiful collection of dwellings. They are rising up from the ground, perched on concrete pillars. They’re covered with glass facades that make the natural world a huge part of the interior design. The raised design is meant to make you feel almost weightless, floating in a gorgeous natural landscape. You will be lifted up and surrounded by nature all around, as if dropped right into the gorgeous Norwegian wilderness.

Additionally there is of course working plumbing and electricity. These cabins have all the modern creature comforts humans have come to expect. And as far as the scenery, it doesn’t get any better than this.

The views of the fjord and the incredible, unspoiled landscape are totally unobstructed. Inside, the interiors are decorated with a minimalist design. The furnishings are all made with natural materials in Earth tones and rich textures that continue to echo the natural landscape all around. Wood, leather and marble are integrated throughout the design, and beautiful and durable materials that are also natural.

Everything blends together and works well together to create a design that’s rich in texture and tone. The changing world outside creates a constantly new landscape, with scenery that’s always changing and always full of wonder. When nature is all around you and easy to see, it’s a lot easier to remember just how important the natural world actually is.
