Blok Wschodni / Eastern Block is a collection of paper cut-out models representing various modernist buildings in Warsaw, Poland. Made and distributed by Zupagrafika, the series features several famous buildings around the city, including the Rotunda PKO. Other pieces may only be familiar to city dwellers, such as Za Żelazną Brama, or the Wielka Płyta prefab blocks from the outskirts of Tarchomin. The whole set is eco-friendly—made from 100 percent recycled paper and carton. Each piece is hand-drawn, and includes a short technical note on the original building’s location, architects, and year of construction.
