Ambitious Brooklynite builds her own tiny home inside of a Crown Heights warehouse

New Yorkers have seen their fair share of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/tiny-homes/">micro apartments</a>, but you'd probably do a double-take if you saw an actual tiny house here in the city. Working around the dearth and high cost of land, Miko Mercer has begun building her own <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/index.php?s=dream+home">DIY dream home</a> right inside of a Brooklyn warehouse. The 160-square-foot tiny house, which Mercer works on in her spare time, is coming along nicely with walls, windows and even shingles.
