Hurricane Sandy Already Flooding BrooklynNew Yorkers were told that the brunt of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/index.php?s=hurricane+sandy">Hurricane Sandy</a> would be coming this afternoon but areas of waterfront Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan are already seeing several feet of flooding. NYPD began patrolling parts of Greenpoint and Williamsburg on the East River this morning and closed down ferry piers, some of which are close to being underwater (see our photos).
