SOL is a collection of contemporary jewellery that collects and stores usable energy when worn in the sun, thus creating an alternative way to charge small devices, such as a cellphone. The 3D-printedSOL collectionis inspired by clssical Islamic geometric patterns and art, and have a definite architectural feel. Each jewellery piece has a designated slot for the solar panel housing unit, which can fit into any and all SOL pieces interchangeably. This solar panelunit is easily transitioned into an external electronic charging station, which has a USB slot that can be used to charge phones, mp3 players, and more. The necklaces shown in these photos have been created using 3D-printedsteel and plastics.
