After years of being surrounded by computers, Rodrig discovered something beautiful about the old circuit boards constantly being discarded around him. He could no longer stand the disposal of these aesthetically perfect pieces of technology that simply didn’t function. He began molding them into small, simple ornaments and soon began creating large and intricate sculptures. His pieces range from creepy bugs to sprawling landscapes, inanimate objects, and furnishings. Rodrig’s sculptures are not only aesthetically unique, but are coupled with clever tech titles such as “Sea Turtle Searches for Deep Data” and Hummingbird Senses Sweet Data.”

Rodrig has experienced success and notoriety in technological and environmental circuits, being featured as an innovator on geek.com. His sculptures have even crossed over into high art – they were recently included in an international juried sculpture exhibition at Rogue Space in New York and they are permanently exhibited in the online collection of Manhattan Arts International.

His sculptures can be found on Etsy.com ranging from $25.00 Christmas ornaments to a $3,500 post-apocalyptic helmet. And though the toilet is nearly life-size, it is only for the discarding of data waste.
