The result of a number of experiments aimed at maximizing the material, structure and aesthetics of a 4’x8′ sheet of Baltic birch plywood, Beam is a simple DIY sideboard made up of eleven precisely cut pieces. The design draws on the basic physics of beam engineering to create a strong and light piece offurniture with an origami-like sense of economy.
