According to Brooklyn Paper, the owner of the Airstream – who apparently used a crane to stake his claim to the rooftop – has not been named. Even more curious is the makeshift studio that sits adjacent to the iconic camper. As neither the studio nor the airstream are permitted, it’s not surprising that poor “Ronnie” has reportedly accrued a whopping $30,000 in fines from the city’s Department of Buildings.

Well done, Ronnie. We salute your inventiveness as well as your minimalistic spirit!
