Gallery: Amazing Amsterdam Office Built Entirely From Wood Shipping Pal...

Here at Inhabitat we love seeing buildings that make innovative use of recycled materials - we've already shown you an office in Amsterdam made completely out of cardboard, and the latest Dutch project to catch our eye is this incredible workspace made entirely from wood shipping pallets! It all started when advertising agency Brandbase relocated to a gorgeous but empty canal house right in Amsterdam’s historic city center. They needed some furniture and basic working structures, so they partnered with Most Architecture to create an economical, sustainable and creative office built from 270 wooden pallets.

When Dutch advertising and brand activation agency Brandbase relocated to the concentric canal city last year they made their temporary office’s interiors from simple wooden shipping pallets that they adapted to suit the deep and narrow space. These platforms exhibit the agency’s creativity while creating a complete flexible workspace that required no glue and no screws – even the coffee coasters are made from pallets!

At the end of the bottom floor there is one office room that is free of pallets – it has been left as a white box and features the latest Apple computers, Herman Miller’s ergonomic Aeron chairs and lots of natural light coming in from the side.
