Happy World Water Day! In honor of this day of international awareness, Annie Leonard has released a new video talking about the evils of bottled water. Entitled “The Story of Bottled Water“, the new short film is done in the same style as her hit video The Story of Stuff, with simple cartoons, hard-hitting facts and compelling information. Even if you were against bottled water before, this video will make you cringe at how wasteful bottling water in plastic can be.

This video makes you think and realize about, what are u really drinking, and is bottle waters are really fresh and clean? Well Annie Leornard talk to us on this video about not all bottle of waters nor tap water are purified. She’s letting us know that we dont have access to clean water, we are not drinking clean water 100% all the time. I think that for now on, when i look at my water bottle im going to be thinking is this water that im about to drink clean or not, even though it looks clean, dosen’t mean that it is not clean. Most people Annie said, drink bottle water because we think its more better than tap water. Fiji water + other bottles of water is less regualted than tap water, meaning tap water does have more taste, but the tast dosen’t matter, any more right? We need to know now when we drink water is this clean or not, and how could we help out, by getting fresh, clean and pure water. Thats what is important.
Overall a good short film, however the fact that she encourages the drinking of tap is absurd! The chlorine and fluoride that is pumped into our general water supply is extremely detrimental to our health. These toxic chemicals lay havoc on our neurological systems. It is important to drink water that comes from a natural spring or mountain range, any other water just doesn’t suffice.
