Beachaus II is a Smart LEED Platinum Home in White Rock, British Columbia

Right on the heels of the stunning <a href="http://inhabitat.com/pb-elementals-beachaus-i-is-a-smart-leed-platinum-prefab-in-british-columbia/">Beachaus I</a> comes Beachaus II, a LEED Platinum prefab house built in White Rock, British Columbia. Designed by Chris Pardo of <a title="PBElemental" href="http://www.pbelemental.com/index-2.html">Elemental Design</a>, developed by <a title="Inhaus" href="http://www.inhaus.ca/">InHaus Development</a> and built in 5 modules by <a title="Method Homes" href="http://methodhomes.net/">Method Homes</a>, the sleek design utilizes some of the top energy-efficient technology out there today.

Concrete on the main level contrasts with the open design on the second level.

With just over 2,000 square feet of living space, InHaus development creates homes built to “live smart, not large.”

Floors are created using carbonized strand woven bamboo flooring.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus a separate office/studio area.

The home features views of the Semiahmoo Bay and takes advantage of the natural light.

Windows are positioned to maximize privacy and take advantage of the beautiful views.

Beachaus I and II are the first independently certified LEED sustainable homes in White Rock, British Columbia.

The kitchen utilizes FSC Certified Walnut solid wood cabinetry and professional series Bosch appliances

Beachaus II is less than 650 feet (200 meters) from Semiahmoo Bay.

The home is extremely efficient with high-performance windows, tight thermal envelope, HRV air-exchange system and efficient spray foam insulation.

According to Inhaus, upon completion the home "will receive a final rating that will be permanently recorded by the Canadian Green Building Council."

Built in 5 parts in Seattle, Washington by Method Homes, the home was assembled on site in British Columbia.

Even the yard is efficient with partial irrigation from rainwater collected from the roof.
