Reclaimed Douglas Fir wood from a nearby damaged building was used on the interior, along with fly-ash cement, recycled-content tiles, recycled content drywall, reclaimed dimensional lumber, reclaimed copper for the roof, gutters, and fascia, and on the exterior, reclaimed stone from blast fragments.

    This is an admirable project. It seems like they integrated sustainable features as much as possible throughout the entire design. Great work. This would be an excellent submission to the Holcim Awards for Sustainable Construction.
