Gallery: Crazy Green-Roofed Habitable Bridge Proposed to Span Acapulco ...

 
Currently, traffic around Acapulco Bay is basically one linear parking lot and getting from one end of the bay to the other requires a circuitous route and a lot of time. A bridge has been proposed to span the bay, but at 3 km in length, it will be a massive and expensive undertaking. Mexico City-based BNKR Arquitectura have proposed a habitable bridge in order to draw in private investment to make the project economically feasible. A core roadway would span the bay with triangular structures that would hold residential space. The bridge bases would house docks and to top it all off, a green roof would cover the paths with greenery.

    I thinks this is the most non ecological project. Blocking the sunset from the Acapulco bay. Why Mexico has to go backwards?
    there are other sections of acapulco that can be remodeled and improve the city than making an island away from the old one….. This project is expensive and ridiculous…
