Wooden walkwayAn upscale re-imaginging of a child’s treehouse, Delta Escape is a beautifully designed retreat adjacent to an ecological reserve. Nestled in amongst the throngs of islands that make up Argentina’s famous waters of the Tigre delta, the house stands tall like a wooden fortress overlooking the river. With a hint of Le Courbousier’s spatial design the structure sits high up on solid stilts; a necessity for the floodplains. Only accessible by boat, a wooden walkaway meets the jetty, crossing tall grasses and the natural bulrushes and flowers that collect within the surrounding forest.1
The treehouseA vertical rectangular structure, built by an artisan from Buenos Aires, the building is constructed from both concrete and bricks. The structure complements the surroundings, blending in amongst the trees.2
BedroomThin rectangular window shutters cast shafts of light across the bed. The interior of the retreat is encased in wood, creating a warm, relaxing environment.3

The riverOnly accessible by boat, the house is surrounded by inlets of water.7
In amongst the treesThe structure is surrounded by a natural forest. From certain angles, the structure appears almost transparent amongst the swaying reeds and spindly trees growing around it.8
View from the bird watching platformA raised platform allows a space to enjoy the surrounding wildlife.9
Bridge across the waterThe Delta Esacpe sleeps 10 and is fully equipped, on its own peaceful island. It is the perfect escape destination for any family or group of friends wanting to get away from the city to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.10
Wooden path to houseSolar panels provide the majority of the building’s energy needs and a huge central fire area takes the place of a plasma television, and the paneled wooden walls make the inside of the house as refreshing as outside.11
The forestAll around the structure is a natural forest, preserving all species of plant that made their way to the area down the river.12
