I’m really surprised that this structure, even if only temporary, was permitted on top of this monument. From the ground it is hideous and completely destroys the otherwise perfect symmetry of the arch. When it first arrived we thought it was yet another builder’s portakabin. The arch is one of Brussels’ most photographed buildings, and it’s a pity that the image is ruined by this wart.
