Graphic design student Erica Craig has designed a unique and cute wooden wine box for (fictional) brand Kingswood of Canada. The detailed packaging — to be produced deep in luscious British Columbia forests — represents the maker’s home and the brand’s sustainable values. Inspired by green forests, blue lakes, high mountains and local elks, Craig brought these elements together with the use of FSC wood from local British Columbia forests.

In addition to protecting the glass bottles within, it was important that the reflect on its packaging reflects the brand’s spirit. Because the wine was targeted to males and females over the age of 25, the box reflects a gender-neutral and timeless, elegant design.

Each wooden box has been sanded and stained with an elk figure. The light background box is for Kingswood white wine, and the dark one for red. Craig also thought of giving a second life to the sliding box lid, becoming a collectable collection of home-crafted, charming coasters.

Erica Craig’s personal webpage is under construction, but you can have a look at her full design portfolio page, here.
