Cute… but watch the video. Don’t call something the H”Racer” when it only goes as fast as a walking adult. Loses the fun factor quicker than a hunting trip with the VP.
Apart from the fact that this is actually worthless junk, it’s kind of cool. Pity it’s probably never going to make it to commercial full scale though – at least not for the vast majority of people – there’s going to be a lot of depressed kiddies out there in the next decade or so.
I wonder if there are any useful applications for such a small scale fuelcell/recharger? Like lighting, refrigeration? It doesn’t mention how much energy it stores..
If they made small scale that works on air then why not make full scale for people and be super green! Oh no sorry, forgotten. That would jeopardise the oil industry. Lets kill the inventor of hydrogen car and hush this whole thing up. Oh, forgotten this has already been done! They killed him for a fist full of dollars or a little more.

Don’t be fooled by what appears to be the slow speed. Any scale modeller will tell you that a 5% scale model travelling at 5km.hr (walking speed) is actually a scale speed of 100km/hr. Looks slow in the full-size world, but put it into a scale world and it’s really travelling. I doubt that anyone would expect a scale model to travel at full-size speeds.
Perhaps that ought to cause us to ask whether we really need full-size cars to be able to travel at 100-200km/hr either! If you take account of the time spent earning money to pay for the car and its operation (in addition to the time spent on the journey itself), the average effective speed of cars in cities is about the same as that of someone riding a bicycle. Those who drive large SUVs effectively travel at two-thirds of the cyclist’s speed.
