Harm Rensink’s Pop-Up Inflatable Spa Gives City Dwellers Health of Body and Peace of Mind

Dutch designer <a title="Harm Rensink's Inflatable Pop-Up Spa Unwind Visitors at Dutch Design Week" href="http://www.harmrensink.nl/" target="_blank">Harm Rensink</a>&nbsp;has created a fantastic pop-up spa that gives city dwellers a welcome place to relax. Dubbed Urban Spa, this inflatable sauna is shaped like a cozy&nbsp;<a title="Harm Rensink's Inflatable Pop-Up Spa Unwind Visitors at Dutch Design Week" href="http://inhabitat.com/6-cozy-cocoons-to-retreat-from-the-world/" target="_blank">cocoon</a>&nbsp;and it can be placed indoors or outdoors to provide a warm place for spending time during cold winter days. Sleek, portable and minimalist, Rensink's spa&nbsp;provides health for the body and peace for the mind.

The project consists of a <a title="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transparency_and_translucency" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transparency_and_translucency" target="_blank">translucent</a> plastic bubble that is filled with steam set alongside a changing room with all the amenities needed to enjoy a <a title="Harm Rensink's Inflatable Pop-Up Spa Unwind Visitors at Dutch Design Week" href="http://inhabitat.com/eco-wellness-retreat-with-rammed-earth-gueshouses-at-arizonas-miraval/" target="_blank">spa</a> experience.

Rensink set up his Urban Spa at the last Dutch Design Week, where visitors could reserve a spot at the end of each day during the <a title="Harm Rensink's Inflatable Pop-Up Spa Unwind Visitors at Dutch Design Week" href="http://www.ddw.nl/index.php" target="_blank">festival</a>.

Everything in the room had a clean minimalist look and feel.

Rensink also designed some cozy garments and accessories for pampering oneself.

A fluffy bath rope was on hand for walking to the inflatable <a title="http://inhabitat.com/sauna-box/" href="http://inhabitat.com/sauna-box/" target="_blank">sauna</a> after getting undressed at the changing room.

Placed on a small low table were a few elements that made the experience sensory and tactile.

A set of fluffy geometric slippers, a hand towel for scrubbing the body and some drinking water were also part of the experience.

Rensink also created some unique scrubbers by covering soaps with natural <a title="Harm Rensink's Inflatable Pop-Up Spa Unwind Visitors at Dutch Design Week" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felt" target="_blank">felt</a>. 

The lightweight steam room can be can be easily assembled in a wide-open space indoors or left outside on a rooftop for enjoying the fresh air when popping out.
