It's no secret that we're big fans of modular dwelling designer extraordinaire Michelle Kaufmann here at Inhabitat, so we're absolutely stoked to see that she's launched a brand new series of prefabricated homes! Called the Zero Series, the elegant line is made to be zero energy (hence the name) and is all about "designing big rather than building big." In addition to being able to generate as much energy as they consume, the bright, airy spaces filled with ample windows bring the outdoors in and squeeze out every last drop of potential that a build site itself has to offer.

Michelle Kaufmann was the first green architect I had ever heard of. I’m glad to see she is back on the scene.
We’ve been a fans of Michelle for years and we think she is an innovative and highly creative architect. We would love to live in a lot of her designs, especially the zero designs. We want to sell the house we are in and use the proceeds to buy one of Michelle’s homes on a vacant piece of land but the market has to recover and become more stable to realistically make that happen in a practical way.
