Gallery: LEED Silver MiMA Tower in Midtown is Green Luxury at Its Fines...

Midtown welcomes a brand new high-rise building with never before seen luxury amenities and LEED Silver certification. The giant glass MiMA building (short for Middle of Manhattan) is 63 stories of rentals, condos, and retail stores, plus a hotel and off-broadway theatre. From doorman to roofdeck, this building has every thinkable amenity and the latest in green technology.

MiMA is comprised of 500 rentals, 151 condos, the super modern Japanese Yotel, and an off-broadway theatre designed by none other than Frank Ghery. The brainchild of a dream team of designers, the glass and steel tower itself was thought up by Miami-based firm Arquitectonica. The apartments, which start at $2,895 for a studio, were expertly crafted for optimum efficiency and storage by local designer Ismael Leyva. Each unit is fitted with LED lights, low impact materials and floor to ceiling windows boasting panoramic views of Manhattan. A number of common floors are outfitted with unique and spacious indoor and outdoor lounges designed by New York’s Rockwell Group, complete with modular, lightweight furniture that can be easily rearranged for any group or occasion.

Building guests and residents will live like kings with over an acre of incredible amenities. MiMA offers personal assistants, a 24-hour concierge, on-site valet, 200+ cable channels, an indoor basketball court, and a catering kitchen to name a few. It is also one of the first residential high-rises with a distribution antenna system that actually enhances cell phone service within the building walls!

Though MiMA is an opulent home in the center of the city, its lounge floors and rumored nightclub, are open to the public. Be sure to grab a posh drink or enjoy the city sights from the many lavish lounges of MiMA.
