Awesome Locally-Made Green Designs from BKLYN Designs 2013!

<a href="http://inhabitat.com/new-york-design-week/">New York Design Week</a> may be over, but we're still digging through all of the fantastic designs we spotted from <a href="http://inhabitat.com/reclaim-x2-nyc-designers-team-up-to-create-one-off-works-with-proceeds-going-to-sandy-storm-relief/">Manhattan</a> to <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/our-favorite-green-designs-now-on-show-at-bklyn-designs/">Brooklyn</a>. This year's design exhibits showcased scores of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/led-lights/">LED-illuminated lamps,</a> proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/led-lights/">LED lighting</a> is the future, and we were hard pressed to find any energy-sucking <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/incandescent-bulbs/">incandescent bulbs</a> casting a shadow on the festivities. But which green lighting designs stood out amongst the bunch? Inhabitat's intrepid reporters were on the scene to scope out the best and the brightest of the next generation of green lighting. A magnet concealed within allows these flexible lamps to stick to any magnetic surface - so they can easily be positioned for ambient flair or focused task lighting. <br /> <br /> <big><a href="http://bowernyc.com/">+ Bower</a></big>

Their elegant structure carries a low-voltage (safe to the touch) current to dozens of LED bulbs, eliminated the need for messy wires. <br /> <br /> <big><a href="http://www.moooi.com/">+ Moooi</a></big>

Look no further than <a href="http://www.mineheartstore.com/">Mineheart</a>'s <a href="http://inhabitat.com/minehearts-king-edison-chandelier-brings-a-tiny-glow-of-baroque-decadence/">King Edison XII Chandelier</a>, which packs plenty of gilded baroque splendor into a tiny package.
