Instead of winding up at the dump, each Old Mac Daddy trailer unit has been refurbished with unique designs done by a local artist. In addition to the retrotastic accommodations, guests can visit the Barn, a comfy Scandi-meets-SA communal space to enjoy the views, nosh on nibbles and have a sip from the Grolsch tap. There is also a pool and deck, as well as a dam for people to take a dip on hot days.

In addition to breathing new life into vintage Airstreams, Old Mac Daddy has been built responsibly using eco-friendly materials wherever possible. The showers use pressure from the nearby geysers, saving on electricity and heating. Natural light and ventilation have been maximized and guests are encouraged to conserve water and energy wherever during their stay.

I have a small piece of land in South Africa and would like to put an airstream on it. Any idea where I can buy one – to renovate or not – in SA?

This looks to be fun place to stay. Once again bring new life to something old. The Airstreams are hip again retro is quite desirable. herman miller santa rosa have fun retro colors.
