To be located in the center of Madrid, the verdant Vallehermoso Sports Center will occupy a space once held by an outdated stadium that was built in the 1950s. Designed by Spain’s ABM Architects, the stadium's unique design is partially submerged in the earth, making it unobtrusive and giving it insulation benefits. The complex is also designed to integrate steel tubing on its façade, which will emulate the screen of real foliage that shades the front of the building.

    It was a brilliant idea to see the building just barely protrudes over the trees and creating an amazing view for the spectators.
