Floor of Atsumi-403architectureA young Japanese couple asked 403architecture to renovate their bedroom in their apartment in the center city of Hamamatsu. Using wood reclaimed from the ceiling during the renovation, the design firm created a patchwork floor of timber offcuts. The reclaimed wood scraps create a slightly bumpy yet sanded surface without the use of any varnish. The end result is a unique, hand-crafted, and cost-effective flooring option.1
