Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureIf you took a look at this Earth House from above, you might mistake its swirling lawn for a verdant <a href="http://inhabitat.com/amazing-natural-ads-printed-in-sand-snow-and-grass/">crop circle</a>. We have to say that the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/off-grid-rammed-earth-house-on-navajo-nation-catches-the-wind/">beautiful rammed earth house</a> certainly is out of this world with its clean architecture, and lovely landscaping. Designed by <a href="http://www.jolson.com.au/" target="_blank">Jolson Architecture</a>, the Earth House is also built from local materials and carefully considers the idyllic <a href="http://inhabitat.com/residence-a-house-with-a-tree-tattoo/">Victoria, Australia</a> site it sits upon.1

Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureThe modules are connected by a corridor, a 'disappearing street' that frames views and facilitates the movement through the house.4
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureA large central courtyard anchors the home with the main and guest wind on either side.5
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureLocally sourced Dromana crushed rock is used to form the rammed earth walls used to form the home.6
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureThe east face of the home is glazed to pull in the early day light.7
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureWhile the west face is protected from the hot afternoon sun with formidable rammed earth walls.8
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureThese walls temper the sun's heat and radiate that heat throughout the night and they also protect the home from strong winds.9
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureInterior furnishings were also expressly designed to accentuate the architecture and the landscape.10
Earth House by Jolson ArchitectureThe entrance to the home is a beautiful scene of sculpted concentric circles and a inscribed labyrinth inscribed inside.11
