Like all Lindal Cedar Homes, green building plays a big part in the design and construction of each home. All the homes are completely adaptable to a wide range of sustainable strategies, like renewable energy, LEED certification, rainwater collection and eco-friendly materials. By working closely with Turkel Design, home buyers can customize the eco features they want in their house. Lindal has been working closely with the National Association of Home Builders on their green building standards and they were the first systems builder approved by the NAHB.
Currently, there are seven homes in North America that have been completed or are in construction, and 32 homes are in various stages of design. There’s even one home being designed for South Korea and another home aiming for LEED for Homes certification. Costs for a Turkel/Lindal home vary depending on your location, site, extras and local builder, but the homes cost around $225-350 per sq ft.

I love these modern silhouettes so much! Oh house of my dreams, I have found you!
I must admit I have found Lindal’s designs long in the tooth. In Colorado they are a dime a dozen but this looks great.
these are beautiful. also like the effort on the part of the co to make the homes “more dense while including a lot of functionality”. there’s no reason for anyone, especially a modernist, to be living in anything gargantuan.
