    A collection of five industrial-chic, luxury townhouses has popped up on a coveted corner in Brooklyn’s DUMBO Historic District. Completed by New York firm <a href="http://www.alloyllc.com/" target="_blank">Alloy</a>, the contemporary building at 55 Pearl St. is clad in ipe wood and concrete solar fins that fill the interior with daylight while providing solar shading and privacy. Snapped up for over $4 million each, the stunning four-story units boast energy-efficient building systems and mark the first townhouses completed in <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/dumbo/" target="_blank">the neighborhood</a>.

    To match the scale and style of the surrounding industrial buildings, Alloy clad the townhouses in a series of tensile Ductal concrete panels and fins that mimic the fenestration of the neighboring structures.
