Real Life Church serves up a free Thanksgiving dinner every year in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx, and thankfully this year, their volunteer registration is now completely full. If you still want to help, you can drop off dessert, drinks, toiletries, and clean clothing. Click here for more information.

New York Common Pantry
The New York Common Pantry has been helping hungry New Yorkers for more than thirty years and they’ve used that experience to make it incredibly easy for New Yorkers to donate food to those who need it. To provide a meal for a hungry New Yorker, just click here to contribute securely online. You can also make sandwiches, or give clothes or toys you no longer need.

Ascension Church
Ascension Church in Greenpoint, Brooklyn still needs volunteers for the 3:00-5:30pm time slot to serve food and clean up at their free dinner service on Thanksgiving Day. To sign up, visit their website and fill out this short form.

God’s Love We Deliver
If you have a car, God’s Love We Deliver needs help transporting baskets of food and cooked meals to more than 1,500 homebound New Yorkers. Click here to sign up.

City Harvest
City Harvest is blessed to have an army of committed volunteers this Thanksgiving, and almost all of the positions at their soup kitchens and dinner services are filled. But you can still help with what they need most — non-perishable food items. Bring cans or other non-perishable goods to any FDNY or NYPD station, the Daily News building lobby at 4 New York Plaza or these other locations. Find a list of the most needed items here.

Food Bank of New York
Many of New York Food Bank‘s Thanksgiving volunteer positions are already filled but there are still projects that could use help. You can also donate food, or a make a financial contribution online.
