  • Im so lucky you found me
    <a href="http://596acres.org/">596 Acres</a>, the NYC group that has been <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/596-acres-uses-thought-provoking-signage-to-notify-new-yorkers-to-take-back-their-public-land/">using creative signage to jump start resident collaboration</a> on vacant city lots, recently released an art book with Daniel Eizirik titled “I’m So Lucky You Found Me”. The quirky, illustrated publication follows different New Yorkers and their interactions with public land in the boroughs. Read on for a sneak peek inside the book as well as a look at the hand-binding process that goes into making each copy.

    Eizirik, an illustration artist from Brazil, spent a month sketching and interacting with Brooklyn’s <a href="http://vimeo.com/14838218">vacant public land</a> and residents, creating a series of drawings and collages that trace the debates and challenges surrounding public space in the city.
