• HHF & AWP Timber Follies in Paris
Not only is Paris going to get a brand new urban park about 1/8th the size of New York's Central Park, but it's going to be adorned with these dreamy "follies" - a series of colorful timber pavilions. Swiss architects HHF & AWP won the competition to design these modular structures, which will either be stacked to create an observatory, clustered to form a visitor center and restaurant, or scattered along the Seine river in Carrière-Sous-Poissy. There they will join existing barges, fishing huts, and house boats to give the city's urban fabric a touch of riverside ambience.
