Designed by <a href="http://www.partnerundpartner.com/en/aussen/holzhaus-k.html" target="_blank">partnerundpartner</a>, Wooden House K (Holzhaus K) takes inspiration from the traditional architecture of the region, but updates it with lively accents and vertical slats. Its central clay core is critical to maintaining a homeostasis inside and contains the staircase, fireplace and other utility elements. Solar collectors on the roof and a water heating fireplace work to reduce the home's use of fossil fuels.1
