The networking site brought in IA Interior Architects to design the expansion of their 33,005-square-foot workplace on the 28th floor of the Empire State Building into an urban social club that fosters business relationships inside and outside of the company. Read on to see some of the new space's bold pops of color and playful touches like a room lined with old yellow and grey rotary phones that leads to a secret speakeasy lounge.

The office space focuses on employee wellness and active design with shifted desk alignments that are adjustable for optimal work comfort. In addition, it also recognizes the need for interaction away from a personal desk, through playful collaborative areas and formal meeting spaces. Employees can unwind in a café, a screening room with video games, a fitness room, and a billiards lounge.

Instead of ornamenting the place with playful Googlesque touches, LinkedIn NYC keeps it professional and classy with sleek monotone naturally-lit walkways (decorated with black-and-white photos of employee’s loving pets!!!), bold LinkedIn-blue accents, various blown up New York City Google Street Views on the walls, and a ‘speakeasy’ lounge hidden behind a wall of vintage telephones and 1920s-style bowler hats.
