The revamp of the 1983 <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/celebrity-chefs-join-fight-to-keep-historic-fulton-fish-market-alive/">Fulton Fish Market</a> seems to be making good progress despite all of the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/just-press-pause-help-save-the-old-fulton-fish-market-and-turn-it-into-a-vibrant-public-space-for-downtown-manhattan/">controversy</a> surrounding the larger South Street Seaport revamp project. According to <a href="http://www.6sqft.com/new-renderings-of-south-street-seaports-fulton-market-revamp-from-shop-architects/">6sqft</a>, the Landmarks Preservation Commission recently approved the revised design of the market's signage, essentially giving the green light for the project to begin.

Two years ago, the LPC approved the SHoP Architects-designed revamp of the 1983 structure, and now that updated renderings for signage have been approved, it looks as if the project is one step closer to fruition.

According to the new renderings, the new Fulton Market exterior will have eight signs, three for the iPic Theaters multiplex, two for the bar The Tuck Room, and three for future tenants, labeled “Brand XYZ”.
