Fitting in nicely with the sustainable mission of Socrates Sculpture Park, the Sticks structure is made out of standard dimension lumber with various scrap wood pieces found on-site incorporated into structural grid.

On the interior, the wooden slats serve as both storage and a display area.

According to the architects' description, the load of the pavilion was evenly distributed by continuing the roof onto an existing shipping container.

A pathway runs through the open-ended structure, again using the shipping container as a support wall.
