Jennifer Collier at OriginThe <a href="http://www.originuk.org/">Origin Contemporary Craft Fair</a> showcased the height of the modern craft movement at the <a href="http://www.londondesignfestival.com">London Design Festival</a> this week, and Inhabitat was on the scene to bring you the best pieces from this year's show. Set in the middle of the famous Old Spittlefields Market, Origin is brimming with cool designs constructed from <a href="http://inhabitat.com/recycled-materials">recycled materials</a> and artisan products. The marketplace is particularly awash with fine art pieces of animal-inspired crafts, sculptures constructed from paper, and items exhibiting organic forms. Abigail Brown at Origin<a href="http://www.abigail-brown.co.uk/">Abigail Brown</a> has created a magical batch of lifelike birds using recycled materials and traditional hand sewing techniques.2
Rebecca J. Coles at OriginUsing just paper and a scalpel,<a href="http://www.rebeccajcoles.co.uk/"> Rebecca J. Coles</a> creates these swarms of butterflies that look as though they may take off.3
Jennifer Collier at OriginMidlands-based artist<a href="http://jennifercollier.co.uk/"> Jennifer Collier</a> creates incredibly detailed sculptures <a href="http://inhabitat.com/jennifer-colliers-recycles-old-literature-into-inspiring-new-objects/">entirely from paper</a>. She sews together scraps donated to her studio to make a remarkable range of realistic machines including a camera and a sewing machine.4
Tine De Ruysser at Origin<a href="http://www.tinederuysser.com/Site/Home.html">Tine De Russyer</a>'s World Money Project consists of a line of jewelry made of carefully folded banknotes from around the world.5
Ella Robinson at Origin<a href="http://www.ellarobinson.com/">Ella Robinson</a> sources materials washed up from the sea to create vibrant mixed artworks textiles. The Royal College of Art graduate's work is bright, colorful, and equally inspired by cities and the coast.6
Claire Brewster at OriginUsing old maps as her canvas, <a href="http://www.clairebrewster.co.uk/">Claire Brewster</a> makes intricate pieces of art that take the form of birds and flowers. This simple idea is really effective, and is a great use of discarded paper.7
