- Bedouin rugs in Milan<a href="http://www.bcxsy.com/news/2011/salone-del-mobile-2011/">BCXSY</a> is displaying a series of seven one of a kind rugs made by Bedouin women at the Spazio Rossana Orlandi <a href="http://inhabitat.com/milan-furniture-fair/">in Milan</a>. The Eindhoven designers joined forces with SIDREH in support of Lakiya Negev weaving. This non-profit group enables a group of women otherwise alienated from their <a href="http://inhabitat.com/alvisilkchair-is-an-eco-chair-inspired-by-traditional-looms/">traditional ways</a> amidst an increasingly modern society to make a living from weaving rugs. And, unlike mass-produced factory rugs, the wool for these is sourced locally, making them a totally-sustainable decorative item.1
