  • Tiny 180 square foot Manhattan Penthouse
Would you be willing to live in a tiny, 180 sq. ft. apartment if it meant moving to one of the poshest nabes in Manhattan for just $125,000? <a href="http://www.elliman.com/new-york-city/park-ave---84th-street--i-103-east-84-street-unit-phd-manhattan-jxbifuv">Douglas Elliman Real Estate</a> recently dropped the price of what <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2012/11/19/manhattans_most_adorable_penthouse_now_down_to_125k.php">Curbed</a> calls "Manhattan's most adorable penthouse" from $375K to $125K, and we're curious to see how fast it goes. To be fair, the luxury <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/5-super-efficient-tiny-new-york-apartments/">lilliputian property</a> also comes with a terrace that isn't included in the 180 sq. ft. count, but on the flipside, the maintenance fees are a whopping $1,717/month.

The penthouse also has a terrace which is nearly half the size of the apartment of additional outdoor space.

Douglas Elliman describes the <a href="http://www.elliman.com/new-york-city/park-ave---84th-street--i-103-east-84-street-unit-phd-manhattan-jxbifuv">180 sq. ft. apartment</a> as a "Small Penthouse Studio with a terrace in an elegant pre-war full service building just off Park Avenue".

Despite its <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/5-super-efficient-tiny-new-york-apartments/">tiny size</a>, the studio is conveniently-located just two blocks from Central Park, and is actually twice the size of <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/womans-impossibly-tiny-90-sq-ft-manhattan-apartment-is-one-of-the-smallest-in-nyc/">this woman's place</a>.

The one catch, that is if you don't count the apartment's meager proportions as a catch, is that the monthly maintenance is $1,716.98.

But that might be expected in a luxury UES building with a 24-hour doorman building.

At least you don't have to spend too much money on furniture because a convertible couch is probably about all you can fit in here comfortably.
