The cabins are located next to a mountain creek and are the closest accommodation to Catawba Falls, around two miles away. They share the campground with a few other cabins and tent camping. Although they are too small for cooking, visitors can use the surrounding area for grilling and barbecues and there are picnic tables too.

There are no showers or bathrooms in the houses, but they do have air conditioning and heating, as accommodation is offered year round. Bedding is available for an additional fee. Other accommodation onsite has a small kitchen that includes a refrigerator, microwave and coffee making facilities if you want something more deluxe.
