    The Aeolus Acoustic Wind Pavilion is a gigantic metal sculpture that sings with the wind at London's <a title="London's Giant Sculpture Aeolus Makes Wind Audible" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canary_Wharf" target="_blank">Canary Wharf</a>. Designed by Bristol-based artist <a title="London's Giant Sculpture Aeolus Makes Wind Audible" href="http://www.lukejerram.com/" target="_blank">Luke Jerram</a> and named after the ruler of the four winds in Greek mythology, the sculpture creates a charming sweet sound every time the <a title="London's Giant Sculpture Aeolus Makes Wind Audible" href="http://inhabitat.com/altaeros-energies-floating-wind-turbines-tap-into-strong-high-altitude-winds/" target="_blank">wind</a> blows through its pipes.

    Luke Jerram has been researching acoustics, <a title="London's Giant Sculpture Aeolus Makes Wind Audible" href="http://inhabitat.com/ikea-launches-new-solvinden-wind-and-solar-powered-outdoor-lights/" target="_blank">wind</a>, architecture and light for a few years, but it was a trip to Iran that triggered this art piece.

    Using zero energy and no electrical power or amplification, this giant<a title="London's Giant Sculpture Aeolus Makes Wind Audible" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeolian_harp" target="_blank"> aeolian harp </a>sculpture has nylon harp strings attached to some of the tubes, which redirect the passing air into the piece's center to create sound.

Designed by Bristol-based artist Luke Jerram and named after the ruler of the four winds in Greek mythology, the sculpture creates a charming sweet sound every time the wind blows through its pipes.
