MATERIALS:
– a tote bag (one with sturdy, hard fabric will work best since you don’t want your wine bottles clanging into one another)
– a needle and thread or a sewing machine
– a pencil
– scissors
– a ruler or a box of foil
STEP 1:
Lay your bag down flat and fold it in half width-wise to find the halfway point. Mark the halfway point with your pencil and then draw a line going down the centerpoint of the bag.
STEP 2:
Next, use a ruler or a foil box to mark two more lines equidistant and parallel to the centerpoint line. You should end up with three lines. The center line is just for measuring purposes and the two lines on either side of it are where you will sew.
STEP 3:
Now you just want to sew along the two lines you drew in Step 2. Use either a sewing machine or a needle and thread to sew up one line and then cut and knot. Then do the same for the other line.
That’s it! Grab a few wine bottles, pop them in your new bag and go! Wasn’t that easy?
