First new NYC subway station to be added in 26 years opens at Hudson Yards

    New York's new Hudson Yards 7 line station, the first new station to be added to the city's subway system in 26 years, is now officially open for service. The new station at 34th Street and 11th Avenue extends the 7 line all the way over to Manhattan’s far west side, and is expected to service 56,500 passengers per day. Headed by engineers at <a href="https://www.pbworld.com/" target="_blank">Parsons Brinkerhoff</a> and <a href="http://www.dattner.com/" target="_blank">Dattner Architects</a>, the new hub is part of a larger project that will see the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/tag/hudson-yards/" target="_blank">Hudson Yards</a> area transformed into a vibrant new community.
