Seth Stein Architects Gives a Bomb-Damaged London House a New Lease On Life

Architect <a href="http://www.sethstein.com/" target="_blank">Seth Stein</a> reconstructed this house on a bomb-damaged site in West London, transforming the three story property into an energy-efficient <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/green-renovation/" target="_blank">home</a>. Designed with green living in mind, the Notting Hill residence incorporates green space and hidden <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/photovoltaic-panels/" target="_blank">photovoltaic panels</a>.

<a href="http://www.sethstein.com/" target="_blank">Seth Stein Architects</a>' Notting Hill renovation keeps a low energy footprint thanks to an array of green building strategies.

The project incorporates passive air distribution, and it regulates temperature with a ground-source heat pump.

Stein opened up the interior to daylight with large glazed walls and installed private garden spaces to infuse the home with greenery.
