Gorgeous ‘Skyphos 1’ LED Chandelier Hypnotizes Like a Bioluminescent Jellyfish

Inspired by the bioluminescence of underwater organisms, <a href="http://smolikova.freepage.cz/skyphos/">Smolíková</a>'s energy-efficient LED chandelier is a stunning lamp that lends an ethereal glow to any space.

To create her shimmering jellyfish-like Skyphos 1 chandelier, Kateřina Smolíková used glass blowing, melting, and casting techniques.

The lucent form looks delicate, but her careful selection of materials and savvy design process have yielded to a robust lighting fixture.

Smolíková is a student focusing on glass design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
