Dutch architecture firm, MVRDV is known for its stunning ability to transform mundane areas into elaborate urban spaces, and now, the prolific architects are about to work their design magic on a former US army barracks in Germany. The plans call for a dynamic urban renewal of the abandoned 144-hectare site in Franklin Mitte, including four new residential "HOME" towers centered around a massive green hill that will serve as the social hub of the new community.
