The <a href="http://inhabitat.com/2010/11/08/historic-uk-hostel-turned-into-super-green-residential-housing/" target="_blank">eco housing project</a> was designed to make the most of solar orientation while keeping a low profile and providing beautiful views of the nearby forest. The resulting project consists of a series of three partially underground homes that feature <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/2010/03/03/stunning-green-roofed-apartment-building-rises-in-amsterdam/" target="_blank">sloping green roofs</a>.
