Girls ShoshannaleadLast year, we took a look into <a href="http://inhabitat.com/nyc/this-studio-apartment-from-hbos-girls-may-be-the-coolest-tiny-space-youve-ever-seen/" target="_blank">Charlie's envy-inducing studio apartment</a> from HBO’s hit series <a href="http://www.hbo.com/girls" target="_blank">Girls</a>, but what about the homes of the other characters? <a href="http://www.architizer.com">Architizer</a> decided to get the scoop from production designer <a href="http://www.lauraballingerdesign.com/" target="_blank">Laura Ballinger</a> about the rest of the gang’s living spaces, <a href="http://architizer.com/blog/girls-architecture/" target="_blank">and revealed each of their floor plans</a>. Click through the gallery above to check out Hannah, Marnie, Adam and Shoshana’s pads and see how your apartment stacks up!1
girls charlieWe’ve already coveted Charlie’s DIY <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/small-living/" target="_blank">super efficient studio apartment</a>, complete with built- in storage stairs, excessive shelving and loungeable loft space.2
girls charlieThe other characters’ pads are just as sweet, and Ballinger has shared the spacious floorplans and mock ups on her website.3
Girls Hannah and MarnieHannah and Marnie’s modest two bedroom shares a dimly lit kitchen/living area, larger than New York average bath tub, and of course the girls’ good sized bedrooms.4
GirlsSet in Greenpoint, the true two bedroom differs from the trend of railroad apartments that unfortunately dominate the area.5
Girls- ShoshannaShoshanna’s gorgeous huge studio looks even larger from a bird’s eye view in the floor plan. Complete with quirky décor, the apartment is bigger than most early twenty something’s call home, with a giant L shaped space that could easily be the same square footage as a one bedroom.6
Girls AdamAdam’s T-shaped man cave is even more unbelievably large, with separate bedroom, living room, work area, and kitchen, all clad with vintage furnishings fit for a Brooklyn dude. The larger than life space even has room for his home gym without having to move furniture around. With soaring rent prices in New York, the living spaces of the Girls characters seem unrealistic for struggling twenty something’s- unless of course their parents are footing the bill.7
