For his first foray into the NYC architecture scene, Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld will be joining an elite group of architects building swanky condos along the High Line. According to 6SqFt, the Weinfeld design team is just about to finish the foundation work on what will be eventually grow into two gorgeous 11-story condo towers along the elevated park. Located at 525 West 27th Street, adjacent to Zaha Hadid’s 520 West 28th Street condo, the Jardim building will be resplendent with greenery from top to bottom, from its lush terraces to its Eden-like green rooftop garden.
Along with oodles of green space throughout the building, the 95,000 square-foot complex will offer an impressive portfolio of amenities for future residents. Once completed, the building will offer a private brick-lined driveway, an indoor swimming pool and gym, a massage room, a children’s playroom, and plenty of private storage.
The interior of the building is just as sophisticated as its discreet brick and concrete exterior. The common area between the two towers will include latticed wooden screens and a second floor terrace planted with an abundance of plants and shrubbery. Glass skylights will provide optimal natural light for the private swimming pool and gymnasium below.
The elegance of the building’s design scheme follows through into the interior design of the apartments, which count on a mix of smoked oak, marble, brass and limestone to give the units a light, airy feel. Each unit will also be decked out with extra-large panoramic windows that provide incredible views of Manhattan.
Although Jardim is the first project in the Big Apple for the Weinfeld, the condos will be joining the company of some rather high-profile neighbors. The swanky complex will take its place among Zaha Hadid’s 520 West 28th Street building, the AVA High Line Condos, and GF55′s +Art complex.
Completion on the Jardim“>Jardim Condos is slated for some time in 2017.
