Trying to do everything in a green way – on a bicycle – can be frustrating whenever you need to transport anything larger that your bag can handle (try fitting weekly grocery run in a messenger bag). A boutique bike design company from Denmark, KP Cykler, is tackling this problem with their new sidecar bicycle. The idea for a sidecar bike came from everyday needs to transport large and heavy loads like postal packages and bicycle frames, as KP Cykler’s website reports. The sidecar is connected to the bicycle through spherical bearing which allow the bike to tilt. This makes riding the bicycle feel natural, without the fear of tipping over in the corners. These bearings are connected to frame mounts with just 2 bolts, making it easy to detach the sidecar if needed. You can now order a sidecar bike, built specifically to you, on their website for approximately $1650.
