LEGOLAND Florida Becomes Nation’s First Theme Park to be Powered by 100% Renewable Energy on Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day, LEGOLAND Florida has just become the first theme park in the U.S. to be completely powered by renewable solar energy.

Since the park opened in 2011, the park has actively embraced recycling, from encouraging guests to recycle to outfitting the park with site furniture made entirely out of recyclable materials.

To celebrate Earth Day and the new partnership between LEGOLAND Florida and Tampa Electric, a 30-kilowatt solar panel array was installed atop the park's Imagination Zone to power the attraction venue with renewable energy all year-round.
