• Lodekka Double Decker Bus Turned Vintage Shop
Many buses don't get much action after they've reached the end of the road (so to speak) transporting passengers around - they're either mined for parts or worse yet, sit abandoned in a lonely lot somewhere. Ginny got lucky. Who's that, you ask? Ginny is the name lovingly given to a British double decker bus that now lives its life as Lodekka, a vintage boutique and dress shop in Portland, Oregon. Photographer Leela Cyd Ross, who lives right around the corner from the retro shop filled with clothing, objets d'art and other cool stuff was kind enough to share her lovely pics of the madeover wheels and wares within with us - take a peek!

The Bristol Lodekka double decker bus was originally manufactured in July of 1965 and spent most of her past life providing public transportation to the people of Liverpool, England.

According to the Lodekka website, no one really knows how long she stayed there, or how she got from Minnesota to Oregon.

But that's all in the past. Now, the double decker has a fresh white coat, crisp red lettering and an interior bursting with a bubblegum hue.

It's pretty clear that taking an old bus, fixing it up and transforming it into something new is eco-friendly, but don't forget, the wares inside the shop are green too.
